Harashima Ryosuke was born in Tokyo in 1980. Since 2003, he has been active as a designer in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Starting in 2018, Harashima began creating furniture and lighting works that combine antique tools with metal frames, focusing on the theme of transformation of old objects. He has presented his works in solo and group exhibitions through SOMEWHERE TOKYO. Other participations include the “Oku-Noto International Art Festival” (Noto Suzu City) in 2023, “That Which Bears the Supreme Name of Chocolate” (21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa) in the same year, “Lines—Aligning your consciousness with the flow” (21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa) in 2024, and “Vietnam Lantern Festival” (Hanoi, Vietnam) in 2025, among other domestic and international group exhibitions.
