Midori Tsukada

Tsukada was born in 1972 in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. In 2002, she graduated from the Toyama Institute of Glass Art. In 2004, she completed her training from the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop. Her major exhibitions include “The Crafts futurism from Hokuriku” in 2015 (Wako Ginza Honkan), “Feeling in glass—Form of Perception” in 2016 (Toyama Glass Art Museum), and a solo exhibition “Oceans Formed” in 2018 (Ippodo Gallery New York). Her major awards include the Gold Prize at the International Exhibition of Glass Kanazawa 2013. Her works are held in collection at institutions such as Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts (MUDAC), 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Notojima Glass Art Museum, Ishikawa, and Toyama Glass Art Museum.
